If you are reading this now, or have a cause to seek out the answers that will be given on these pages, then it means you are a Hamoye intern who has written or is about to write your stage’s quiz and tag-along codes.

Submitting your codes is a really easy process, and find below the steps to a successful submission.

  1. Your tag-along codes, which are usually done on any platform or Integrated Development Environment (IDE) of your choice such as Jupyter Notebook, Pycharm, Vs Code, Google Colab, etc, all need public repositories like Github where you will upload your codes. It is expected of all our interns to have a GitHub account, and know how to do their tag-along code submissions there.
  2. Login to your Github account, go to the “Repositories tab”, click on “New”, select “Public Repository” option and then “Create”. See images below.
  3. Upload your notebook containing the codes and ensure the codes have outputs, otherwise it won’t be graded. Copy the link.
  4. Find and open the Tag along code submission form. You can find the link to this form link in the instructions details in the course.
  5. Complete all the required fields in the form. Be sure to fill in your 16 digits HamoyeID correctly (we recommend copying and pasting it from your Hamoye profile so as not to miss or transpose any digit). A submission without a correct HamoyeID automatically attracts a zero score.

Proceed to submit the form once you have filled the relevant fields. And that is how to get your deliverables visible to the grading team at Hamoye.

NB: Interns in the Data Storytelling track should be mindful of the additional requirement to upload a file for their deliverable.

Remember to take note of every stage’s deadline for code submission!
